We encourage community groups to use PeachlandNews.com to get their messages out to the community. There’s several things you can do and they are all free to non-profit and public service organizations:

1. Get listed on the Community Groups Page. Think of this page as a very basic Yellow Pages for groups and organizations. It lists the name of the group, under a category, and a phone number. It’s a fast, easy way for website visitors to find your phone number.

  • Send an email by clicking here.
  • In the body of the email, write the proper name of your group, the main contact phone number and which category you would like your group listed under.

2. Link your Community Groups Page listing to your group’s website. We can set up it up so that clicking on the name of your group in the listing opens a new browser window that links to your group’s website.

  • Send an email by clicking here.
  • In the body of the email, include everything listed in #1 above, plus the link to your group’s website (Example: http://www.peachlandnews.com)

  • You may attach a photo to the email to be placed on your group’s page. Alternately, you can ask us in your email if we have a stock photo that might go with your group’s page. (Please make sure you have permission to publish any photo you send us.)

Columnists

The nature of the online news industry being what it is, PeachlandNews.com cannot at this time offer remuneration for columnists. We also won’t be giving everyone with a rant and a keyboard carte blanche to get columns published. We are selective. We want thought provoking, well written columns that are of interest to our readers.

If you have an idea for a column, please let us know. We’d like to have two columns sent by email so we can gauge whether what you are capable of writing is appropriate for our audience. Columns should be from 250 to 450 words. If we like what you write, we’ll be in touch with further details.
