News. . . Replacement of a bridge over Deep Creek will begin Tuesday, according to a District of Peachland press release. The bridge, which connects Renfrew Road with Hardy Street, is due to be replaced to ensure safety, according to the district. Extensive enviornmental protection work is also being undertaken to protect the important salmon spawning stream during construction. Renfrew Road will be closed on either side of the bridge until approximately late August. During construction, the district suggests alternate routes to be used: Hardy Street and Hwy. 97, or Renfrew Road / Hwy. 97 or Heighway Lane / Princeton Avenue. The bridge over Deep Creek at Renfrew Road will be replaced this summer. Looks like it is almost done, now we have a two lane bridge with very nice brick work for the fish to look at that goes almost nowhere. Is it in the the works to make the south end of Renfrew Rd. safer so everyone else can enjoy this architectural marvel.
