Environment Canada issued a rainfall warning for the Okanagan Valley at 11 a.m. Thursday.
“This is a warning that significant rainfall is expected or occurring in these regions,” states an Environment Canada release.
A moist low pressure system has settled over the Central and Southern Interior regions. The low is expected to remain nearly stationary over the region today and tonight.
Total rainfall amounts of 20 to 35 millimetres is expected over the next 24 hours, according to Environment Canada.
