Update (8:45 p.m.). . . DriveBC is advising that The Connector has reopened to traffic in both directions. The truck that caught fire has been towed off to the side of the road.
Both eastbound lanes are open and one westbound lane is open.

Hwy. 97C, The Coquihalla Connector, was closed down to all traffic Thursday evening due to a truck fire.
DriveBC reported that traffic is being blocked from getting on the Connector at both ends: Merritt and between Peachland and West Kelowna.
The truck is reportedly fully engulfed in flame and there is no word on when the highway may reopen.
