Toddler struck by vehicle

The RCMP’s Central Okanagan Traffic Services are currently investigating a collision where a two-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle backing out of a residence, in the 300 block of Farron Court in Kelowna Wednesday at around 5 p.m.

The young boy sustained serious injuries and was transported to Kelowna General Hospital where he was assessed and subsequently transferred to Children’s Hospital in Vancouver.

Neither alcohol nor speed were not a factor in this unfortunate incident.

Central Okanagan Traffic Services, with assistance from the SouthEast District Collision Reconstructionist, continue to investigate this incident and police are asking anyone who might have witnessed or have information regarding this collision to contact Cst.
