Approximately 200 metres of Gellatly Road will be upgraded, from the Powers Creek Bridge to the south access of Angus Drive. Motorists can expect minor delays during construction which is expected to be complete by mid-November.
The improvement project includes repaving of Gellatly Road, new parking stalls, landscaping, streetlights, sidewalk on the west side and the addition of an asphalt multi-use pathway on the east side.
Powers Creek Pedestrian Bridge will be upgraded as part of the project. Construction has been tendered to Sierra Landscaping Ltd. for $538,779.
