Several hundred people turned out Friday morning for a free breakfast supplied by the District of Peachland at the Peachland Community Centre.
The breakfast was held to honour Peachland’s many volunteers.
Mayor Keith Fielding and his councillors served up fruit, pancakes and sausages to the crowd, while district staff took care of clearing tables.

I heard the the ambassadors were to attend but most or none showed.
What do they expect, kids to miss what little school there is to make a showing for the town. Not impressed.
Who gets the gold star for this event?
Couldn’t agree more..I volunteer my time, I am not a Senior and didn’t attend this Friday morning breakfast..sure is a kick in the you know where!
Hmm, Friday morning breakfast served to volunteers equals seniors only.
Why not on a weekend to show something towards the ones that have jobs during the week that put their weekend family time on the back burner and do the extra effort towards the town events when not at work?
Sure sends a loud and clear picture of how things are.
