It’s been a good year for a local businessman who fundraises for the Peachland Food Bank.

For seven years, Realtor Roger Cyr has held a paper shredding event and each year for the past six, he’s sponsored shuttle buses at the annual World of Wheels Show and Shine.

On Monday, Cyr dropped off more than $2,000 in cash and donated food from this year’s events to Judy Bedford, head of the food bank.

The shuttle buses were packed at May's World of Wheels.

The tally included more than $1,600 in cash and about 40 bags of non-perishable food items.

Cyr pays for the World of Wheels buses and all costs associated with the paper shredding event, only asking for donations to the food bank in return.
