The 11th annual Rotary Bus Trip headed out last Wednesday carrying a full complement of Peachland seniors on a day-long excursion to the North Okanagan.
The weather was certainly a question mark with heavy rain forecast throughout the day but the weather gods understood the occasion and at each of the outside stops in Enderby, Vernon and Lake Country, the clouds parted and we saw the sun.
We had, however, hedged our bets and arranged for lunch in the Shaw Centre in Salmon Arm. With time for sightseeing, shopping, cake cutting, the dreaded sing-song with a few jokes thrown in, all arrived back at the Peachland Community Centre just before 5 p.m.
A day to remember for both seniors and Rotary members alike.
