The Shuswap River is rising and that has initiated an evacuation alert for some residents of Enderby.

The City of Enderby issued the evacuation alert for residents of Riverdale Drive.

“The Shuswap River has river such that there is concern for the safety of residents,” states a press release.

Riverdale Drive residents need to be prepared to leave their properties should it become necessary.

“Residents will be given as much advance notice as possible prior to evacuation, however changing conditions may result in limited advance notice,” states the release.
