The Evacuation Alert affecting 14 properties in the Mission Creek area of Joe Rich has been rescinded.

The alert was issued early Sunday morning as heavy rains caused a rapid rise in both the flow and level of Mission Creek.

The Regional District of Central Okanagan Emergency Operation Centre has evaluated current conditions and future weather trends. With the decrease in the level and flow in Mission Creek over the past few days and a continuing stable weather pattern there is a reduced risk of imminent flooding for those affected properties in the Highway 33 and Greystokes Road area. Property owners in the area should continue to monitor weather and creek conditions and are encouraged to take appropriate precautions to protect their properties and structures from possible flood damage in the event conditions rapidly change.
