The District of Peachland will allow residents of the Brent Road/Trepanier/Paradise Valley areas to use the town’s compost site.
During a recent investigation into illegal dumping at the compost site, it was discovered that some residents of Brent Road and the Trepanier Valley were trying to drop off yard waste. Those areas are in the regional district and technically, according to the municipality’s rules, residents from those areas were not allowed to use Peachland’s compost site.
Peachland council voted Tuesday night to allow residents of the two areas to use the compost site. In doing so, council went against a council policy on the subject.
During the tenure of Mayor Graham Reid, council instituted a policy that before areas outside the municipality could access municipal services, the areas would have to become part of the municipality.

I give this a “smile”!
Not worth commenting about; it’s so haywire!
Graham Reid is who started this town into a train wreck… Will council be able to pull us out off the collision course?
