Okanagan Valley under severe thunderstorm watch

High winds, thunder, lightning, heavy rain and hail could be in store for the Okanagan Valley Monday.

Environment Canada has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the Okanagan Valley.

Conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms with large hail and damaging winds.

The potential exists that some of these thunderstorms may become severe this afternoon. These severe thunderstorms will be capable of producing damaging wind gusts and heavy downpours.
