One of Peachland’s most popular tourist attractions will reopen sooner than anticipated.
Hardy Falls Regional Park will open Saturday morning (July 28), three days earlier than previously scheduled.
The main trail through the park to Hardy Falls has been closed over the past six weeks as seven of the eight bridges over Peachland Creek were rebuilt.
The cost of the project was just over $137,000 and involved replacing bridges installed in 1996. The first bridge over the creek was replaced a few years ago after a wind storm knocked down a large tree, destroying the bridge.
“It was anticipated the bridge replacement project in the six hectare regional park would take until July 31 to complete,” said Bruce Smith, regional district communications officer.
Hardy Falls Regional Park is located on the south end of Peachland on Hardy Street, just off Hwy. 97.

Hardy Falls is one of the many amazing things in Peachland! When people squabble over a design of a building not fitting their ideal, the natural beauty of Peachland will always be number one and will never be taken away.
