West Kelowna RCMP is looking for a 16-year-old boy after he left his residence with some friends last Friday.
On August 3 at 11:30 p.m., West Kelowna RCMP received a report of a missing teen from the 3600 block of McIver Road.
The report indicated that Austin Mitchell, 16, had left the residence at about 11 a.m. that day and had not returned. Mitchell has a history of going missing but rarely for more than a day or two. There is no indication where Mitchell may be staying at this time.
Police are concerned for Mitchell’s well-being due to the his extended absence and it is suspected he is experimenting with drugs and alcohol.
Mitchell is described as a Caucasian boy, about 5’9″ and 180lbs with dark brown hair and hazel eyes. He has a tattoo of a cross on his ankle.
Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of Austin Mitchell is asked to call RCMP at 250-762-3300.
