West Kelowna RCMP are asking any witnesses riding on a specific bus in West Kelowna on August 6 to come forward to identify a thief who stole money from the wallet of a fellow bus-rider.  On August 6, 2012 at approximately 10:45 AM, a woman left her seat and her backpack to talk to the bus driver.  Upon return, her wallet was missing.  The wallet turned up in the back of the bus – minus $140 in cash.  The bus and passengers were held at the Stevens Road/ Westlake Road bus stop until police arrived.  One person of interest fled through an emergency window and left southbound.  This person is described as a female approximately 5’7” tall with strawberry blonde hair and missing teeth, wearing a black skirt and pink tank top.

A theft was reported to West Kelowna RCMP on August 7, 2012.  Patio doors were left open and a thief snuck into the occupied home on the 2600 block of Casa Loma Road.  The only item missing from the home is silver MacBook Pro. A neighbor viewed a 5’8” 200 pound Hispanic leave the front yard with what appeared to be a silver clipboard or book at approximately 10:00 AM.   The suspect was wearing a light coloured sleeveless shirt, a yellow baseball cap and beige shorts.
