Bear Creek Road fire: Arson suspected

An investigation into the cause of Sunday’s wildfire near Bear Creek Road is now an arson investigation.

A small fire was discovered on the upper hillside of Bear Creek Road, between Parkinson Road and Rose Valley Road, at about 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

“The fire was suppressed quickly but there is evidence to suggest that it may have been set deliberately,” said Cnst. Kris Clark.
