Police have recovered an ATV last week that they suspect had been stolen and are still looking for the owner.
On August 23rd, 2012 at 5:45 am, the Kelowna RCMP received a report of a theft on the 400 block of Leathead Road. The report indicated that an unknown man appeared to be attempting to steal an ATV. When police arrived, the man was gone, but the ATV remained. Neighbourhood inquiries were conducted in the area but the owner could not be located.
The ATV is described as a red Kawasaki KVF650F.
In order for the ATV to be returned, the owner will be required to produce proof of ownership indicating the proper Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
Before attending the detachment, the owner should call the Kelowna RCMP to make arrangements for the ATV’s return by calling 250-762-3300.
