Injuries sustained by one of two people taken to hospital Thursday night after a fatal rollover accident are not as severe as first reported.
A dark blue, 1995 Chev 4×4 pickup truck carrying four young people rolled on a gravel portion of Princeton Avenue late Thursday night. The accident claimed the lives of a 20-year-old male from Peachland and a 17-year-old female from West Kelowna.
Taken to hospital were a 19-year-old male from Peachland and a 16-year-old female from West Kelowna. RCMP reported Thursday night that both were in critical condition.
Cnst. Kris Clark updated PeachlandNews.com with information that the female teenager remains in hospital with life threatening injuries.
The 19-year-old male suffered less serious, non-life-threatening injuries and could be released from hospital on Friday (October 19).
The accident took place about two kilometres west of ZipZone Adventure Park.
