Local history buff Don Wigfield has written a book called The Roads of Peachland, now on sale at the Peachland Museum, with all proceeds going to the Peachland Historical Society.

They were nude but not lewd. They were bare and didn’t care. They were carefree and confident, fun loving and adventurous. And every one, in some way, has been touched by breast cancer.

He’s young at heart, a former mayor and the manager of Brenda Mine before it closed. On Thursday, he was strapped into a harness, attached to a parachute and flown hundreds of feet in the air over Okanagan Lake.
