Lake Avenue leaner taken down

A tree faller from Davey lets a limb fall to the ground Monday. BC Hydro agreed to take out a large Ponderosa pine tree on Lake Avenue that was leaning towards a house.

Havin' a taste of Peachland

Sportsmen hold free Fishing Forever

Al Springer, from the Peachland Sportsmen’s Association, helps Fishing Forever participant Mercia Carlson hold up a fish caught Saturday in Heritage Park. Fishing Forever is an annual event sponsored by the Sportsmen’s club, which supplies all the gear necessary for persons with disabilities to fish for free.

Rainbow over the park

A beautiful double rainbow over Okanagan Mountain Park served as the perfect backdrop for an evening of fishing for three boys near the mouth of Trepanier Creek.
